PHFA Releases Final 2016 Qualified Allocation Plan

PHFA_logo_300The Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency (PHFA) issued the final 2016 Qualified Allocation Plan (QAP).

Applicants will be required to submit an Intent to Submit a Tax Credit Application - Fact Sheet and Development Synopsis on or before January 8, 2016. According to information presented at the Pre-Application Workshop on October 22, 2015, this information is to be submitted electronically along with an operating budget and related narrative. A major change for this year is that applications must be submitted electronically, along with one bound paper copy. The entire application package is due to PHFA by 3:00 p.m. on March 4, 2016 in both electronic and paper form.

Welcome.Home.

Mission FirstThe evening of October 1, 2015, brought forth hundreds of community partners, funders, supporters, and community leaders in support of Mission First Housing Group at their “Welcome.Home.” event. Members of McKonly & Asbury’s Affordable Housing Team had the opportunity to attend. The Welcome. Home. event took place at World Café Live in Philadelphia. The festivities included food, drinks, and a silent auction. 100% of the net proceeds from the event will go directly to support housing and services for vulnerable populations.

McKonly & Asbury Fall Affordable Housing Seminar Recap

Blog main picMcKonly & Asbury’s 2015 Fall Affordable Housing Seminar was another outstanding day of training about low-income housing tax credits. The seminar was held on September 24, 2015, in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. McKonly & Asbury was pleased to welcome back A.J. Johnson as our speaker. A.J. served as a technical advisor to Congressional staff during the drafting of both the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Program and the Fair Housing Amendments Act of 1988. Currently, A.J. is President of A.J. Johnson Consulting Services, Inc., a full service real estate consulting firm specializing in due diligence and asset management issues, with a particular emphasis on properties utilizing the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit.
